About This Site
Most paint and sip companies work the same way: you drive to their studio, sit at their table, and paint their painting. This one inverts that entirely. There is no storefront and no gallery. Supplies, easels, canvases, aprons, instruction, setup, and breakdown all travel to wherever the client already is, whether that is a country club ballroom, a wine tasting room, an office conference room, or a backyard. The site has to communicate that in the first few seconds, because the category name works against it.
The second thing the site has to carry is the part no competitor offers. Every event opens with a live musical duet performed by the two founders, followed by a guided emotional release exercise, and only then does the painting instruction begin. They call it the transformation experience, and it is treated as the centerpiece of the site rather than a line buried in an about page. It is the difference between selling a craft activity and selling an evening.
The service catalog runs to fifteen distinct experiences, from fine art on canvas and glow in the dark parties to denim upcycling, vision board workshops, wine glass painting, and seasonal pumpkin and ornament sessions. There is no published price list, because there is no standard event. Guest count, experience type, travel distance, and whether the client wants a custom design all move the number, so the site is built to capture an inquiry and return a real quote within a day.
Southern California is too big to serve from one page. A single site-wide claim of covering the region would rank for nothing in particular, so the site runs dedicated pages for each county and for individual cities, each written for that area rather than templated across all of them.
By the Numbers
What Is Built In
Four working systems behind the marketing pages.
Multi-Step Booking Wizard
A staged inquiry form that validates the event zip code against the actual service area before it lets someone finish, so nobody spends five minutes filling out a request for a town outside the travel radius. Submissions land in the database and trigger an email alert to the team.
Open the booking form → PortfolioDatabase-Driven Gallery
Every painting available for instruction is stored as a record, with images served from object storage and filtered by category: florals, coastal, animal portraits, holiday, kids, whimsical, and custom pieces. Adding a painting is a form submission, not a code change.
Browse the paintings → SegmentationSeparate Event Tracks
Corporate and venue bookings need different language, different proof, and different logistics than a bachelorette party or a kids birthday. The site splits those into dedicated pages and routes the intake form accordingly instead of funneling everyone through one generic contact page.
See the corporate track → Founder WorkOriginal Art Showcase
A separate section for the lead artist's own original work, which does double duty: it backs up the instruction credentials with actual paintings, and it gives the legacy audience from the previous domain somewhere familiar to land.
View the original art →Service Area Pages
Each region gets a real page written for that area, not one page repeated with the city name swapped out.
The Admin Side
The largest part of this build is the part the public never sees. The owners run the whole site themselves from a private dashboard.
- Event Calendar Bookings, holds, and date blockouts managed on a single calendar, categorized by private party, corporate, club or venue, and kids party.
- Media Library Slot-based asset management for the homepage carousel, about gallery, booking hero, services hero, and art banner, with images processed on upload.
- Painting Library Upload, edit, categorize, and reorder the paintings that appear in the public gallery, with grid and list views.
- Notification Center Controls who gets emailed when a new inquiry arrives, managed from a recipient table rather than hardcoded addresses.
- Growth Pulse An analytics panel pulling Google Search Console and Google Business Profile data through the site's own API so performance is visible without leaving the dashboard.
- Project Settings Site-wide configuration handled in the interface, so routine changes never require touching code or redeploying.
